ABSTRACT

Slovenia is a small country, both in size (20,273 km²) and population (2 million inhabitants), located at a principal crossroads in Central Europe. The richness of its cultural and historical experience is an important asset in Slovenia’s potential for future economic and social development, and the diverse climate and variety of landscape (e.g. from Adriatic and Alpine to Panonian) provide ideal preconditions for a wide range of different economic activities and lifestyles.
