ABSTRACT
A hologram is a three-dimensional photographic image created by laser beams. It is so similar to the photographed object that one is tempted to touch it. However, in spite of its characteristics of three-dimensionality and realism, it is a virtual image, without any spatial extension. What is particularly relevant, in our perspective, is that every portion of a holographic film contains almost the complete information registered in the whole.
