ABSTRACT
The Anglican Communion is a fellowship of those churches which trace their ancestry to the Reformation in England, and to the creation of the Church of England and the Church of Ireland. It includes those Scottish bishops and clergy who were expelled from the Church of Scotland in 1689. All trace their liturgical ancestry to the Book of Common Prayer, whose main architect was Archbishop Thomas Cranmer.
