ABSTRACT

A major part of a system for quality assurance is a regular review to ensure that all its parts are functioning and relevant. One of the main objectives in any system of quality assurance is to ensure that action is taken to correct whatever mistakes or faults are found. A full-scale review will be held not only of the monitoring processes but also the whole system of quality assurance which is designed to minimise such occurrences. An exciting new idea of how to review the whole system is, however, being developed by The Social Care Agencies Quality Sector Committee of the British Quality Association in conjuction with Norfolk County Council. To satisfy the training need for registered assessor auditors, these two agencies jointly put together a 5-day training course which was run in association with Stebbings and Partners International.
