ABSTRACT

A detailed CPD system includes the greatest amount of subdivision possible between personal and professional development. The two can then integrate closely, as individuals progress towards working cooperatively, with many work-elements combining seamlessly. The importance of stability, of creating the atmosphere where matters can evolve naturally and of allowing the holistic effect to progress without threat from hidden agendas seems fairly understandable –it is the way an efficient household or team is run, where everyone is aware of the established ground-rules and any subsequent progress or change is based on these guaranteed benchmarks. The chapter provides a case study of an international training manager, who involved in a major project producing a complete training programme for kitchen hygiene and sanitation regulations, which consisted of a manual and several associated audiovisual programmes, published in several languages.
