ABSTRACT
Teilhard’s thoughts on original sin and related topics are most clearly expressed in the collection of essays published as Christianity and Evolution (1971), which I myself encountered only after developing most of the ideas outlined above. While I generally agree with his overall vision, there are some aspects of his discussions of original sin which I think should be expanded and modified, and indeed brought into more harmonious relationship with the rest of his synthesis.
