Okay. So now you recognize some of your best and worst workplace traits. You may be an irredeemable Monolith, with a secret modernizing streak in you. Or a hopeless Makeshift harbouring secret dreams of being a Mould-Breaker. But why can't you change? W hy can't you make that shift? In the next two chapters we examine some of the features which characterize the more bureaucratic and change-resistant organizations, and which set them apart from and disadvantage them in comparison with entrepreneurial businesses. Firstly we look at the attitudes and behaviour of managers.
