ABSTRACT

The human brain has some one million, million brain cells, which are called neurons. The amount of ‘information’ circulating is vast and everything happens simultaneously. Each cell could be said to have the capacity to act like a giant telephone exchange, receiving signals and sending out messages–and all this happens in the brain in microseconds. Patterns in the brain are established to provide information circuits and enable bodily functions. The brain, being a physical structure contained within a living human body, operates as a closed system in a totally deterministic manner. The brain has the ability to record ‘information’ in such a way that the memory track can be used time and time again. The brain can transmit ‘information’ as a result of external stimuli, or creative thought patterns, or from the recall of a memory. Only when the brain works out a suitable response to the fear does the mind relax and look for wider issues to consider.
