ABSTRACT

Everyone involved will need reassurance, since unexpected obstacles will appear. To this end, it is vital to organize a system of feedback which signals the end of successful stages and entry to new stages. Similarly, there is a need to report variations in the plan and take action. We need to ensure that we have: Feedback, Agreed reporting-points and mechanisms, The ability to locate our progress in terms of the overall process, and Planned to celebrate our success. The greatest danger of project-planning technique is the implicit assumption that as time passes, work is being done. It is important to inject emotion into the implementation. Feedback is a two-way process, and should reflect a genuine willingness to work cooperatively. Some empathy with the position of the subject is necessary, in order to design and deliver the feedback without falling into a parent: child type of interaction which could trigger dismissive behaviours.
