ABSTRACT
Astrid, who is Swedish, and Fumio, who is Japanese, lived together in Sweden for eight years, during which they had a daughter, Yuri, who is now six. Astrid and Fumio decided to part amicably two years ago. Yuri lives with Astrid and Fumio visits at least weekly. Yuri often sleeps at his flat, where she has a small loft. Fumio is a fabric designer and Astrid illustrates children’s books. Fumio earns a very good living; Astrid’s income is more sporadic.
