ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the crimes over which the ICC has jurisdiction. The Rome Statute covers four international crimes: aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. The reason why the ICC covers only a limited number o f crimes may be explained by, inter alia, the differences between two main groups of international crimes: those created by international customary law and those by international treaty.
