Theflightdeckorcockpit,dependingonsizeandtypeoftheaircraft,isasafety criticalworkingareawherethe'brains'oftheflightcrew,ortheindividualpilot, areconnectedwiththesensors,controlsandwhenapplicable,theautomated 'brains'oftheaircraft.Thedesignsandfeaturesofthevariouspiecesof 'installedequipment'shouldallallowthehumanpilotorcrewtoperformtheir dutiessafely,efficientlyandpreferablywithsomecomfort.
