ABSTRACT
The system that constitutes the psychological is a holistic one, and one guided by one fundamental organizational ideal - the eudaimon ideal. So, the holistic system at issue is also a teleological one. In this chapter I shall describe a commonsensical procedure for revealing the holistic/teleological structure of the psychological. In establishing the methodology that unveils the structure of the psychological we will also establish the procedure for determining the being of persons, since to be a person just is to have a psychological life as understood here - a rational life.
