Which Kind of Public Space for a Democratic Habitus?

CHANTAL MOUFFE I would like to present some reflections concerning the kind of public sphere required by a vibrant democratic society. My starting point is that it is in the context of the increasingly irrelevant role played by the ‘political public sphere’ in democratic societies that we should understand the growing dominance of the juridical and moral discourses, dominance which I see as being inimical to democracy.
