ABSTRACT
It is impossible at this date to compile a complete and accurate bibliography of Reynolds’s fiction. First editions of his novels were not lodged in deposit libraries, his works were constantly reprinted in undated editions, and printed on cheap paper in ephemeral form, most copies of his huge output were read to destruction. This bibliography lists the first known appearance of each title. But it gives no indication of their constant republication over his lifetime. The cumulative total of copies would have been in the millions.
