ABSTRACT

The first case study treats truth not as a topic within the philosophy of language - in relation to deflationary, correspondence and coherence theories - but rather in the context of disputes surrounding man's true end or true good. As should become clear, this is the context in which truth becomes an issue for Kierkegaard and Nietzsche.
