ABSTRACT
SUMMARY Peace has been an elusive quality for the human race. With two major world wars, and numerous regional and national conflicts within the last century, the task of achieving peace has been a continuing challenge. Now, however, with increasing understanding of the urgency with which the key Global Challenges need to be addressed by the human race – it is increasingly acknowledged that that key finances and resources required to address the planet’s sustainability are available and focused on achieving this goal. In this crisis period, it is clear the cost of conflict and war far exceeds the cost of peace and long-term sustainability.
