ABSTRACT

The ‘dys-appearance’ induced by experiences of abuse and the being-against-care that resulted from experiences of bereavement produce specific forms of comportment towards problematic drug use (Chapter 5). Both forms of being-towards problematic drug use can also be associated with particular levels and types of criminality (Chapter 6). This chapter is concerned to understand whether and how these different forms of comportment towards problematic drug use, and their particular criminal consequences, are also associated with specific forms of being-towards treatment and therefore specific routes out of drug use.
