ABSTRACT

On 6 June 1990, at dawn, customs officers on a routine patrol operation in Lyons ordered the driver of a camper to pull over to the side of the road. He tried to escape, collided with the customs vehicle, and came to a halt. The customs officers ran up, searched the car and discovered 1,058 kilos of hashish! They immediately proceeded to arrest five Britishers, described as well-known international traffickers.
