ABSTRACT

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the means by which the Hindu Rightl expresses its parliamentary aspirations. As such, the party should be the exemplar of the foreign and security polides of the 'Hindu' side of politics in India. Y et, as in so man y instances of BJP policy, it is difficult to obtain a clear picture of what foreign and security polides the party might adopt were it ever to gain power in India. The representatives of the party appear to speak with many different voices according to their particular views or the demands of the occasion.
