ABSTRACT

Often, simple, techno-morphologic models like the one in Figure 2.2 (in Part I of this book) are use to support cognitive design and human error assessment. Part I of this book showed a couple of aspects are underrepresented if using such approaches. Examples of accidents provided evidence that additional issues need to be represented in cognitive modelling since they have a high relevance for design and assessment. These issues were called dynamic situational factors because of their dynamic nature.
