ABSTRACT
The test matrix for display evaluation has become more complicated with the advent of new display technology. Traditional round-dial instruments were generally only examined for adequacy of the information for instrument flight and the adequacy of night illumination. Electronic head-down displays require consideration of the color presentation in both low and high ambient lighting levels. Clutter, mode switching, and data latency became issues with the advent of electronic displays.
