ABSTRACT

There are a number of laboratory tests which are required prior to flight release. These include ensuring that the equipment can withstand the flight environment and will not interfere with (or be interfered by) other equipment on the airplane. In addition, the equipment performance must be established in a controlled laboratory environment. It is not our intent to discuss these tests since they are common to all electronic equipment. Spitzer's book (156) discusses these tests. Further details for environmental testing is found in references ( 80 through 85).
