Sometime i n 1884 , Camero n seem s t o hav e starte d a publishing collabora - tion with th e bookseller Edwar d Aver y (see Notes on Avery, below) wh o had probably been selling Cameron materia l from his 18 Carlisle St. premises since 1880. Avery , wit h hi s bookshop outle t and contacts in the bookselling worl d of London, seem s t o hav e handled th e distributing , retailin g and advertising (Catalogues 1885, c.1886 and 1889, which contain many Cameron items , were probably issued by Avery). (1) 2 Carleton Villas, The Grove , Lambeth . This was buil t in 1882-83. From 188384 to 1886 Thomas JUDD wa s registered as a voter living there. On 1 8 February 1887, the road was renamed 'The Grove' and 2 Carleton Villas re-numbered 70, The Grove (no w Vauxhal l Grove; No . 7 0 still stands). From 1887 , the occupier was a Mr. Maddick (ther e was a printer operating from 1 Crane Court , Flee t St. called Edward Maddick — a possibl e colleague of Lazenby/Cameron/Judd?) . S o 'Thomas Judd' ha d gone by 1887 .
