ABSTRACT
Malaysian batik is a decorative art of tremendous beauty. However, its versatility lies in a number of factors. It is at once wearable, practical, vibrantlycoloured and a piece of art. It can take on many forms such as a simple cotton sarong, a formal lounge shirt, an elegant baju kebaya or even a bedspread or a painting.
