ABSTRACT
Basically batik consists of drawing with wax on a white background, so a blockage is produced that prevents the tincture penetration when the piece is submerged in a colour bath. Additional blockages permit dyeing with new colours, which are superimposed, according a predetermined plan. This is characteristic of reserve techniques.
