ABSTRACT

We talk about change as though it is the exception rather than the rule. We talk of change management as if it is an activity which is outside the normal course of events. Yet, change is with us every day; what is remarkable is how badly we tend to deal with it. It is true that most people do not like change. It is unsettling. It prevents the establishment of habits and routines which reduce the turbulence in life. Instructional systems are especially prone to slipping into grooves, given the sometimes repetitive nature of the material being delivered.
