ABSTRACT
The workshop set out to overview the systems approach to the role of human factors in aviation maintenance. A number of issues resulting from the systems approach were outlined, in particular three human factors models incorporating system elements were used to analyse an incident. Finally the move from short term "fixes" to system "solutions" was discussed.
