ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, we will address the relationship between sociology, theology, and religious faith. How far-reaching are sociological interpretations and explanations? Are religious faith and sociological interpretations of religion conflictual? This chapter will address these issues. We will also look at the relationship between religious faith and the sociology of religion at a more practical level. What are the pros and cons of having a religious faith when studying religion as a sociological phenomenon? Also, how do churches and other religious organizations use sociology in their activities?
