ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an overview of the U.S. aerospace industry, of which the LCA sector is a subdivision. Its purpose is to show that there is a U.S. industrial policy for aerospace that significantly benefits Boeing, the one remaining U.S. LCA manufacturer. The wider aim of the chapter is to place our study of the U.S. LCA sector in a broader industrial context.
