ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the application of national culture variables to the formulation and implementation of the EDD Agenda and to the EDD Risk associated with it. National culture variables are used to construct internationalised or globalised analyses of concepts or phenomena. An internationalised treatment is requisite to the purpose of this Short Guide because issues of Equality, Diversity, Opportunity and Discrimination (and their management) are likely to take both of localised and globalised forms. The chapter makes use of the following national culture variables:

z Communication, Body Language, Personal Space and Proxemics.
