ABSTRACT
AMONG the most remarkable and least studied poetic productions of the sixteenth century are the English versions of the Psalms by Philip and Mary Sidney, 1 the first forty-three by Philip and the remainder, as well as revisions on Philip’s work, by Mary. These were composed at the end of the sixteenth century, were known by a number of poets in the seventeenth century, and remained unpublished until 1823.
