ABSTRACT

In the process of digital image acquisition, due to the limitations of machine equipment performance (such as sensor array density, etc.) or the impact of the shooting conditions, such as different optical systems, atmospheric disturbance, movement, noise and so on, image resolution is often low (Smith 2002; Dong et al. 2011; Wall et al. 2002). Low image resolution will make the image unclear, and high-resolution images that can provide more detail are very necessary in some applications. In order to find an effective way to improve image resolution without increasing the cost of hardware, researchers put forward the idea of relying on a software method, so super-resolution reconstruction technology came into being (Elad and Aharon 2006; Pu and Zhang 2010; Yang et al. 2010).
