ABSTRACT

Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) uses a combination of theoretical teachings and experiential practices to help people to establish regular mindful practice. It emphasises the powerful integration of mindfulness and character strengths for creating sustainable mindful practice and for enhancing positive qualities of character. Despite the fact that the MBSP program was published in 2014, a number of pilot studies have been completed, as well as several ongoing trials. MBSP places a substantial emphasis on the importance of practising exercises related to both mindfulness and character strengths. MBSP involves various activities that enable its participants to explore the integration of mind fulness with character strengths. While MBSP is a relative new-comer to the scene of mindfulness programmes, the research around it is gathering pace, and is promising. MBSP has been successfully delivered in various countries across a wide range of settings and populations.
