ABSTRACT

This chapter will discuss preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative concerns for patients undergoing airway and thoracic surgery. It will also consider patient preparation and pre- and postoperative analgesia, with options of regional or local techniques to lower the requirement of inhalant agents or total dose of opioids.
