ABSTRACT
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a painful condition that limits the patient’s quality of life. It is the most common cause of chronic pain in all species, including dogs and cats. It is believed to affect up to 40% of dogs over 1 year of age and, based on radiographic evidence, may affect a similar number of adult cats with up to 90% of geriatric cats affected.
