ABSTRACT
The administration of drugs prior to anesthetic induction is called preanesthetic medication and is part of the general anesthetic procedure. Other parts of the anesthetic procedure include IV anesthetic induction, inhalant anesthetic maintenance, anesthetic recovery, and postoperative pain management.
