ABSTRACT
In Topic 12, you learned that the purpose of qualitative research is to gain an in-depth understanding of purposively selected participants from their perspective. Hence, if you will be conducting qualitative research, you should propose to purposively select participants who meet criteria that will yield a sample likely to provide the types of information you need to achieve your research purpose.
