ABSTRACT

In times of deep uncertainty and socio-economic crises, scholars and professionals of counseling and career counseling have to do their best to show that with renewed sensitivity and up-to-date instruments, they can help people, organizations and contexts identify, with hope and confidence despite everything, new goals to pursue and opportunities to seize, whilst updating the strategies and techniques to be used. It is increasingly necessary to create new counseling and coaching actions to be delivered in different contexts, for different categories of people using heterogeneous languages, tools and interventions, as well as numerous relationship modalities and activities. In the psychosocial context we have two major strands, one related to counseling and one related to psychological counseling. The different study sectors of counseling and coaching raise several important issues for scholars and researchers. For example, a question is certainly to what extent we can consider counseling and coaching as a prerogative of only one discipline.
