ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book aims to bring together different theoretical and disciplinary approaches so that the readers had a variety of lenses with which to frame their ideas around teaching, practice and research in Higher Education. It focuses on rhythm in Higher Education which seemed to be distant from the work on technology. The book also focuses on the place of things within embodiment discourse which in turn worked from posthumanist and new wave feminist theory including Karan Barad. It presents an implicit or explicit belief that it is desirable to balance the mind and body, they use this to a greater or lesser extent to shape their practice within Higher Education. Language and terminology remains a barrier to understanding.
