ABSTRACT

The Boehm Test of Basic Concepts-Revised Edition (Boehm-R) is "designed to assess beginning school children's knowledge of frequently used basic concepts that are sometimes mistakenly assumed to be familiar to children at the time of entry into kindergarten or first grade." A major purpose is to identify children who may be "at risk" for learning because their overall concept level is low. The test covers concepts such as distance, size, numerical order, and names of common objects.
