ABSTRACT
Having a staff member with a disability will change things from the ground up in planning director season and dealing with rehearsals. Always have at least one full production meeting per week during rehearsals with all designers, staff, volunteers and interns present. Experimentation should be utilized not as a vague concept or something they do in an emergency, but as a stand-alone production tool so they can actively work on training new crew, young directors and new artists with disabilities as well as expanding the minds of young new non-disabled designers. Somewhere, someday, someone will design a light booth which hydraulically lowers onto the ground and then the crew can get in, wheelchairs and all or accommodating any kind of disability. Then the light booth can be hydraulically lifted back up into whatever high place it needs to be.
