ABSTRACT

The closing chapter of the book takes up for analysis the continuing struggle of the developing nations and least developed nations in access to affordable medicines. It is argued that the TRIPS Agreement is yet another impediment in the struggle for access to affordable medicines. It will be strongly suggested that the best option available for better access to affordable medicines is to seek an outright amendment of the TRIPS Agreement, as working within the parameters of the Agreement to achieve the goal of access to affordable medicines is not a viable option.
