ABSTRACT

The programme organisation structure is not complete without its constituent projects. The Programme Director finds and allocates Sponsors for each of the projects commissioned within the programme, and will assist in the justification and priority of the projects within the overall business. The Risk Manager defines the risk management process for the programme and ensures that the Programme Office is able to administer the programme risk register. The Design Manager is effectively the Quality Controller for the programme. The Design Manager will also link to any independent quality functions outside the programme to ensure that company or legally required audits take place. The Programme Executive needs to be able to trust each project to manage its work effectively and properly, reporting only the items essential for the management of the programme. The Programme Manager advises analyses and applies management techniques to the resolution of problems and the progression of plans.
