ABSTRACT

The one-way between subjects analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used when the means of two or more independent groups are compared on a dependent variable of interest. With the one-way between subjects ANOVA, the independent variable is a between subjects factor, where each participant receives only one level of the factor (i.e., each person is in a single group). 1 An example of a one-way between subjects ANOVA is presented below.
