ABSTRACT
Multiple linear regression is used when the objective is to predict scores on one variable using scores from two or more different variables. 1 In multiple regression, the variable that is being predicted is known as the dependent or criterion variable, and the variables that are used to predict the dependent variable are known as the independent or predictor variables. An example in which multiple linear regression may be used is presented next.
