ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the case illustrations and video demonstrations that make the Five-Level QDA method come alive through real-world application and hands-on learning that can be used as a guide in your own work. We begin with the principles of learning by analogy from cases that are very different from one’s own projects. We then describe the three sets of videos on the Companion Website: Component Orientation videos, to demonstrate each of MAXQDA’s 13 components; Case Illustration videos, to demonstrate each real-world case; and Harnessing Components videos, to demonstrate that there is no single “correct” way to harness a software component or to fulfill an analytic task using the software.
