ABSTRACT
Sam Eaton was riding in a van with other journalists as they headed towards the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan. Everyone was dressed in white containment suits. It was a year after an earthquake and tsunami had caused Fukushima to explode and sustain a partial nuclear meltdown. Only cleanup workers were allowed within a 12-mile ring around the plant.
