ABSTRACT
The practice and scientific progress in the field of knowledge in PM has been influenced by various worldviews. Each worldview carries assumptions thought to be the successful projects and it is part of the set of elements that makes the researchers adopt a certain methodological approach for their researches. In this context, this chapter examines the impact of the vision of success in projects and the process of choice of methodological approaches to solve research problems in PM. At the end of this chapter, you will understand how the decision-making process regarding the project success is differentiated based on the research approach and the respective role of the stakeholders or project sponsor.
