ABSTRACT
Madness and frenzy are used in the physical and moral sense; rage and fury only in the moral sense: in the first case, madness is a confirmed derangement in the organ of thought; frenzy is only a temporary derangement from the violence of any disease or other cause: the former lies in the system, and is, in general, incurable; the latter is only occasional, and yields to the power of medicine.
